On Friday, 17 May 2024, the Romanian Orthodox Parish in Düsseldorf together with the Association of Romanian Teachers in NRW hosted the launch of the poetry volume “Plasa de siguranță” by poet and philosopher Dr. Valică Mihuleac.
The event began with a welcome from Protopresbyter Dr. Iosif Cristian Rădulescu and Ms. Simona Ilea Pop, addressed both to poet Valică Mihuleac and to the culture lovers present, including Protopresbyter Radu Constantin Miron, president of the Council of Christian Churches in Germany.
After a beautiful introduction to how the volume “Plasa de siguranță” came to be, and an exceptional analysis of the challenges faced by culture today—such as consumerism and the over-technologization of daily life—poet Valică Mihuleac recited several of his lyrical creations, crafting an atmosphere filled with the penetrating spirit of his majestic verses.
The distinguished writer kept participants immersed in the joy of poetic language and rekindled their encounter with the beauty of Romanian lyricism.
At the end, each participant received the poetry volume as a gift and was invited to a reception held in honor of the event.
